Pasadena Community Foundation Gives Foothill A Big Lift!

It isn’t every day that heavy duty industrial equipment changes lives, but thanks to the Pasadena Community Foundation, a brand new forklift is helping disabled adults create better lives for themselves. Foothill Vocational Opportunities received funding for the new forklift through a grant from the unrestricted funds of the Pasadena Community Foundation, made possible by generous donors since 1953. The new forklift is being used in Foothill’s manufacturing and production facility, located just north of fashionable Old Town Pasadena at 789 N. Fair Oaks Avenue. The facility employs over 175 disabled adults each year and helps prepare many disabled workers for employment with local businesses. |
