And the Winner Is…
Robert Herrera , Foothill Community Supported Employment client and Pasadena Public Library employee , is 2005’s Employee of the Year as determined by the Pasadena Mayor’s Committee for Employment of Persons with Disabilities. Robert was presented with this award at the Committee’s 20th Annual Awards Breakfast, which is held in October to recognize National Disability Employment Awareness Month.
The Committee’s Awards Breakfast honors both individuals and organizations directly involved in creating employment opportunities for persons with disabilities and the individuals who are making the most of those opportunities. The featured guest speaker was Dr. Catherine Campisi Ph.D., Director of the California Department of Rehabilitation.
Employee of the Year, Robert has been with the City Of Pasadena for eighteen years and has shown remarkable progress over that time. He has become a valued employee who has overcome many obstacles to earn this achievement. Robert's mother and father were in attendance at the breakfast and are obviously proud of their son’s accomplishments.
We are grateful to Mayor Bogaard, the City of Pasadena, and the members of the Mayor’s Committee for their commitment to the employment of persons with disabilities.
CONGRATULATIONS ROBERT!! YOU DESERVE IT!! |
